Feeding florida

Feeding Florida is a statewide network of food banks working to combat hunger. The campaign needed to communicate urgency and empathy without relying on overly polished nonprofit tropes. The goal was to create a message that felt human, direct, and emotionally resonant.

Role: Concept Development, Creative Direction, Storyboarding, Production, and Post-Production (with production support by Brannon Solomon).
Challenge: Communicate the reality of hunger in a way that felt tangible and emotionally direct, while differentiating from traditional nonprofit advertising that often relies on stock imagery and statistics.
Approach: Once the decision was made to pursue stop motion, I developed the core concept and storyboarded the narrative. The visuals create a tactile, human quality. The imperfections inherent in stop motion reinforced authenticity and emotional weight.

To creatively highlight the variety of nutritious foods provided by Feeding Florida and the significant impact that purchasing a plate can have, I used stop motion animation.

All typography was done in-camera (except for the final logo)

After the success of the stop-motion campaign, Feeding Florida sought a new execution that would feel distinct while maintaining emotional resonance. The 50th anniversary of the iconic song “Imagine” provided a timely opportunity to reinforce the importance of collective community support.

Role: Concept Development, Creative Direction, Storyboarding, Production, and Post-Production (with production support by Brannon Solomon).

Approach: The animation was storyboarded and developed around expressive, minimal line illustrations. The handcrafted aesthetic reinforced sincerity while allowing the message to unfold with clarity and emotional pacing.
